Yesterday was the first anniversary of Mattias's passing. We visited the grave-site with Grandpa and Grandma in the morning placing flowers and then releasing a balloon with messages and memories written all over. It was hard for me, John, to leave. I just wanted to stay all day and chat with my boy. When the time came the grandparents headed south on their trip home and we then spent a family day together. If you are interested in following our personal experiences through this journey of grief and our everyday ordinaries please visit Dana's personal blog Roscommon Acres. There you can connect with us in a more personal manner.

I would like to take this moment to thank all of you for your prayers, support and donations. Please be encouraged by our story. Yes our grief will remain with us our entire lives although the raw intensity of those emotions will (already have) began to slowly alleviate. When Tiggy's House is built our prayers and hopes is that the children the home serves will find the same comfort, peace and love that is guiding us through our journey.
